Transparency International calls on the government of Indonesia to fulfil its commitment to the fight against corruption, show its support for one of the world’s most successful and effective anti-corruption enforcement institutions, strengthen the case for strong, clean investment and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia, and honour the principles of the UNCAC and the 2012 Jakarta Principles on Anti-Corruption Authorities, by urgently restoring the power, authority, independence and effectiveness of Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
