Transparency International mourns loss of Trinidad & Tobago Transparency Institute’s Richard Joseph

It is with deep sadness that Transparency International has learned yesterday of the sudden and untimely death of Richard Joseph, Director and outgoing Chair of the Trinidad & Tobago Transparency Institute (TTTI), Transparency International’s National Chapter in the country.

A chartered accountant with over 35 years of experience in the private sector, Joseph was a highly committed anti-corruption activist in his country and beyond. He served as TTTI’s Treasurer before becoming its Chair in 2010. Joseph also played a key role in advancing anti-corruption work in the Caribbean especially by providing advice and guidance to newly established organisations in the region.

Valued for his friendliness, professionalism and humour, Richard Joseph will be greatly missed by Transparency International. Our thoughts are with his family and staff of TTTI.
