TI National Chapter in Turkey has launched its Transparency Call Centre
Şeffaflık Derneği, the TI National Chapter in Turkey has launched its Transparency Call Centre on 14 October 2010. The centre is one of a growing network of Advocacy and Legal Advice Centres (ALACs) operated by TI chapters in more than 40 countries. Through the ALAC approach, they empower people to make and pursue complaints about corruption, providing free advice and support. Advocating on the basis of the powerful data generated through this work, TI chapters then seek to translate citizen’s concerns into systemic change in policy and practice. To date, ALACs around the world have already received more than 68,000 contacts from citizens.
