Press conference: Transparency International on UN Convention against Corruption and return of stolen assets

Transparency International (TI) and members of the UNCAC Civil Society Coalition will host a press conference in the afternoon of the first day of the United Nations Conference of State Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) focussing on:

  • Return of stolen assets and the Arab Spring
  • The need for strong civil society participation in the Convention review process
  • The publication of 13 country reports and an overview report on how well countries are implementing UNCAC*

Transparency International experts will be on hand for interviews after the press conference and throughout the five-day UN meeting.

Spokespeople will be available for interviews in English, French and Arabic.

* The countries include: Argentina, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Chile, Lithuania, Morocco, Mongolia, Peru, Ukraine and the USA.
