Swiss Mining Company Bribes Nigerian Officials

Corruption Type

Bribery

The Swiss company Glencore is one of the biggest players in the extractive industry, generating billions in profit each year. It has also been caught up in several multi-million dollar corruption cases, such as bribing Nigerian officials to secure favourable oil contracts. Glencore has recently been facing bribery accusations related to its operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Glencore is currently being investigated in the US, the UK and Switzerland.
