Sierra Leone National Integrity System Assessment 2013

The 2013 Sierra Leone National Integrity System (NIS) Assessment finds in particular that Parliament and the Judiciary are weak in checking the excesses of the Executive. Parliament has powers to summon ministers and officers of public offices to demand explanation for perceived wrong doing; and Government Departments and Agencies are required by law to table annual reports before Parliament for scrutiny.
