# Vanuatu National Integrity System Assessment 2014 URL: https://www.transparency.org/en/publications/vanuatu-national-integrity-system-assessment-2014 Type: Publication or report Published: 2014-07-17 Updated: 2019-11-22 --- 17 July 2014 The key objectives of the National Integrity System Vanuatu assessment are to generate an improved understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of Vanuatu’s National Integrity System within the anti-corruption community and beyond, and to generate momentum among key anti-corruption stakeholders in Vanuatu for addressing priority areas in the National Integrity System. The primary aim of the assessment is therefore to evaluate the effectiveness of Vanuatu’s institutions in preventing and fighting corruption and in fostering transparency and integrity. In addition, it seeks to promote the assessment process as a springboard for action among the government and anti-corruption community in terms of policy reform, evidence-based advocacy or further in-depth evaluations of specific governance issues. This assessment should serve as a basis for key stakeholders in Vanuatu to advocate for sustainable and effective reform. ### Related publications ## [Between anti-corruption reform and decline: Examining key actors, strengths and weaknesses in the Western Balkans and Türkiye’s national integrity systems](https://www.transparency.org/en/publications/anti-corruption-reform-decline-examining-key-actors-strengths-weaknesses-western-balkans-t%C3%BCrkiyes-national-integrity-systems) Publication • 19 June 2024 Assessments in the Western Balkans and Türkiye reveal a complex mixture of slow progress in strengthening integrity systems, along with democratic backsliding that strongly… ## [Global Corruption Barometer: Pacific 2021](https://www.transparency.org/en/publications/global-corruption-barometer-pacific-2021) Publication • 15 November 2021 The most extensive set of public opinion data on perceptions and experiences of corruption in the Pacific. ## [Right to Information in Asia Pacific: How 11 Countries Perform on SDG 16.10](https://www.transparency.org/en/publications/right-to-information-in-asia-pacific) Publication • 27 September 2018 Freedom of information is not only a human right, but also an essential tool to engage and empower citizens to demand accountability from governments and fight corruption. ## Countries - [Vanuatu](https://www.transparency.org/en/countries/vanuatu) ![](https://images.transparencycdn.org/images/2014_NISVanuatu_EN_116.jpg?auto=compress&fit=crop&fm=webp&w=1200) [Download](https://images.transparencycdn.org/images/2014_NISVanuatu_EN.pdf)
