# National Integrity System Assessment France (Executive Summary) URL: https://www.transparency.org/en/publications/national-integrity-system-assessment-france-executive-summary Type: Publication or report Published: 2011-12-08 Updated: 2019-11-22 --- 08 December 2011 The National Integrity System assessment approach provides a framework to analyse the robustness and effectiveness of a country’s institutions in preventing and fighting corruption. The French integrity system is relatively good, which is mainly due to the long practice of democratic institutions. However, as a general matter, the involvement of institutions in the fight against corruption is low. In spite of symbolic political announcements, this subject is clearly not a political priority. ### Related publications ## [Connecting the Dots: How financial intelligence units expose corrupt money flows and how they could do more](https://www.transparency.org/en/publications/connecting-the-dots) Publication • 24 June 2026 Financial intelligence units can play a key role in uncovering corruption, but only if they have the powers, resources and access to information they need. ## [How effective is whistleblower protection in the EU?
