# National Integrity System Assessment: Curaçao 2013 URL: https://www.transparency.org/en/publications/national-integrity-system-assessment-curacao-2013 Type: Publication or report Published: 2013-06-25 Updated: 2019-11-22 --- 25 June 2013 Between 2012 and 2013, Transparency International conducted a National Integrity System (NIS) assessment on Curaçao. The Caribbean island has a population of 150,560 and is an autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It has gone through significant political change in recent years following dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles in 2010 and the resulting modification of its country status. The purpose of these studies is to assess systemic corruption risks faced by a country, and produce a set of recommendations on how to mitigate those risks in the future. Those recommendations can then be used by actors in civil society, government and the private sector for promoting integrity in the country. ### Related publications ## [Between anti-corruption reform and decline: Examining key actors, strengths and weaknesses in the Western Balkans and Türkiye’s national integrity systems](https://www.transparency.org/en/publications/anti-corruption-reform-decline-examining-key-actors-strengths-weaknesses-western-balkans-t%C3%BCrkiyes-national-integrity-systems) Publication • 19 June 2024 Assessments in the Western Balkans and Türkiye reveal a complex mixture of slow progress in strengthening integrity systems, along with democratic backsliding that strongly… ## [The National Integrity System: Jordan](https://www.transparency.org/en/publications/the-national-integrity-system-jordan) Publication • 27 January 2017 This study is designed to assess the Jordanian National Integrity System (NIS) through an analysis of thecapacities of the main institutions of the State, and an assessment of the… ## [Fighting Corruption in the Western Balkans and Turkey: Priorities for Reform](https://www.transparency.org/en/publications/fighting-corruption-in-the-western-balkans-and-turkey-priorities-for-reform) Publication • 10 November 2016 Since the early 1990s, with the ever-increasing prospect of integration into the European Union, the countries of the Western Balkans and Turkey have taken important steps to… ## Countries - [Curaçao](https://www.transparency.org/en/countries/cura%C3%A7ao) ![](https://images.transparencycdn.org/images/2013_NISCuracao_cover_116.jpg?auto=compress&fit=crop&fm=webp&w=1200) [Download](https://images.transparencycdn.org/images/2013_NISCuracao_EN.pdf)
