Slovakia
Slovakia demonstrates little to no enforcement against companies bribing abroad. The country accounts for 0.4 per cent of global exports but did not open any investigations nor commence or conclude any cases of foreign bribery between 2016 and 2019.
A 2020 report from the European Commission expressed grave concerns about the lack of an independent judiciary in Slovakia and highlighted supporting evidence of links between white-collar criminals and members of the judiciary.
Slovakia, like other Eastern European countries, serves as a manufacturing base for foreign companies that operate factories in-country, putting it at greater risk of foreign bribery among public and private officials.
