Greece demonstrates limited enforcement against companies bribing abroad. Greece makes up 0.3 per cent of global exports and opened 1 investigation and 1 case between 2016 to 2019, and concluded no cases with sanctions.

Temporary challenges in the country’s new Penal Code of 2019, downgraded some forms of active bribery.

After a joint ad-hoc visit by the OECD Working Group on Bribery and the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), the new Code was amended in November 2019 and the relevant forms of active bribery were upgraded again as felonies.
