**Transparency International opens global call for 2013 Integrity Awards**

The global anti-corruption organisation [Transparency International](http://www.transparency.org) is now accepting nominations for its 2013 Integrity Awards. Launched in 2000, the awards recognise the courage and determination of individuals and groups taking remarkable steps to combat corruption.

[Past winners](http://www.transparency.org/getinvolved/integrityawards/0) include investigative journalists, whistleblowers and citizens’ groups. They have sparked the arrest of corrupt leaders, exposed record-breaking tax scams and shown integrity in the most extreme circumstances.

Nominations are open to the public and can be submitted [here](http://transparency.org/getinvolved/integrityawards) until 15 June 2013.

The nominations are judged by a [committee](http://www.transparency.org/whoweare/organisation/board_committees_and_task_forces/1/#IntegrityAwards) of 11 well-known individuals from the anti-corruption movement.

This year’s winners will receive a trophy at a public award ceremony in Berlin on 8 November 2013, as part of Transparency International’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
