The launch coincides with the 50th Anniversary of the OECD in Paris. TI monitors the implementation of the Convention by measuring how many cases member countries are investigating and taking to trial. It also presents recommendations to improve the enforcement of the Convention. Since its entry into force in 1999, the anti-bribery convention has been adopted by 38 countries representing 65 per cent of world exports. The Convention aims to tackle the supply side of bribery, which the World Bank estimates at a scale of **US$ 1 trillion a year**, by ensuring companies and individuals who pay bribes are investigated and prosecuted. TI Chair Huguette Labelle will be in Paris on 24-26 May for the OECD 50th Anniversary Forum. **Interviews**, both remote and in person, can be arranged on request. **Press briefing: for journalists registered for the 50th Anniversary Forum of the OECD** **When: 24 May 2011** **Where: OECD Media Centre, Room cc4** **Time: 14.30 CET** For **embargo copies** of the findings, and more information about the report and specific country evaluation, please contact [press@transparency.org](http://transparency.org). *Transparency International is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption.* **For any press enquiries please contact** **Deborah Wise Unger, Media and Public Relations Manager** Transparency International T: +49 30 343820-666 / -19 E: press@transparency.org
