Gateway: corruption assessment toolbox
GATEWAY is all about collecting, sharing and expanding knowledge on corruption assessment. It allows those who wish to measure corruption to match their needs with existing diagnostic tools. The project involves:
- Collecting information on existing corruption assessment methods and tools;
- Providing tool users with a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the existing approaches;
- Analysing where the major gaps are, and supporting the development of new tools where they are most needed.
GATEWAY provides:
- A database of existing diagnostic tools, searchable by key criteria and updated at regular intervals
- An accompanying set of topic guides on how to select and use diagnostic tools
Coming in 2012:
- A set of training modules with practical examples and guidance on undertaking corruption assessments;
- An analytical paper, reviewing the field of corruption assessment and identifying the main gaps;
- A set of pilot tools in “gap areas” identified by the review.
