Realising the MDGs by 2015: Anti-corruption in Bangladesh

This set of three studies (Bangladesh, Peru and Ghana) explore countries’ experiences with advancing towards meeting the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The MDGs are a set of goals aimed at making significant progress by 2015 on key development areas, including poverty, education and health.
This study provides a window into how anti-corruption activities can positively support sustained advances in achieving the MDGs in Bangladesh. It demonstrates how civil society actors are working towards combating corruption in service delivery – a practice that severely compromises a country’s ability to provide basic services and meet the MDGs.
