The TI-EU Office liaises with European Union (EU) institutions to promote the fight against corruption. Its main objectives are to advocate for improvement in EU policy, legislation and programmes. All activities are embedded in Transparency International's global priorities and the related thematic issues.

The TI-EU Office is part of the TI-International Secretariat (TI-S), working in close cooperation with the entire global movement, which consists of approximately 100 national chapters worldwide. The TI-EU Office coordinates TI’s EU-relevant anti-corruption work, carried out by national chapters across and beyond the EU. Special emphasis is placed on the cooperation among the 23 TI-national chapters in EU Member States, the national chapters in EU accession candidate countries, and the International Secretariat in Berlin.
