TI’s overall goal is to equip civil society organizations from the four countries involved in this project, with a special emphasis on Egypt, to be better able to engage in promoting transparency and enhancing accountability in the MENA region. The NIS studies will be used as a benchmark to identify priority areas for anti-corruption reform in each country. Research based advocacy activities conducted in Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco and Palestine will result in increased dialogue among all stakeholders (Public & Private sector, CSOs, media and International actors) to better promote anti corruption reforms in identified areas. It will also contribute to raise public awareness of the damaging impact of corruption in the region.
Specific capacity building training sessions will target Egyptian Civil Society Organisations. Representatives from TI National Chapters in Lebanon, Morocco and Palestine will participate in the trainings. Experiences and Best Practices will be shared and will contribute to reinforce exchange and cooperation to promote integrity at the regional level.
