Anti-Corruption Research Network

Transparency International’s Anti-Corruption Research Network (ACRN) brings together researchers from around the world to address knowledge gaps and emerging issues in corruption and anti-corruption related fields. ACRN is a collaboriative, member-driven network which seeks to stimulate peer learning and innovative research. It particularly encourages the engagement of young researchers working on corruption and governance.

Through an interactive online platform and a quarterly newsletter, users can find, share and discuss the latest and most exciting corruption research from a wide variety of disciplines, as well as related job openings, events or funding opportunities. A bi-annual anti-corruption research conference is planned from 2011 onwards.

ACRN is freely accessible and open to everyone interested in anti-corruption research.

**The interactive ACRN web platform has now been launched. Please visit: www.corruptionresearchnetwork.org.

Approach:

Present and discuss the latest in anti-corruption research: Editors and contributors from different disciplines present the latest and most promising literature from their fields, with a focus on policy-relevant implications. All articles are open for comments and discussion, and users can subscribe to thematic information streams that can be delivered in a variety of formats.

Network and receive peer feedback: Find and connect with corruption experts (both academics and practitioners) across the globe. Registered members can create their own user profiles with information on expertise, research interests, list of publications, etc.

Interact in the research marketplace: Reach the anti-corruption research community by posting your research initiatives, anti-corruption courses, job openings and tenders for research assignments, calls for papers or invitations to upcoming conferences and workshops. Academics can also use the network to give and receive feedback on corruption course curricula.

Access corruption related datasets: Datasets can often be difficult to find, making it a challenge for fresh analysis to emerge. The network enables members to share information about new empirical datasets that they have compiled.

Forum for young researchers: Young researchers are invited to become contributing editors, while the online platform showcases the work of young scholars through research paper competitions. Assistance is planned to help young researchers participate in international anti-corruption conferences and workshops, etc..
