  anti-corruption handbook

the public sector

In this section you will find information about anti-corruption initiatives coming from the public sector, namely the public sector codes of conduct. These codes of conduct are intended to ensure the ethical conduct of public officials, preventing the abuse of power and conflicts between private interest and official duties by codifying standards of behaviour.

The public sector codes of conduct page provides an overview and discussion of the main issues arising in relation to the creation, implementation and use of public sector codes of conduct as a means for curbing corruption. Further sub-sections provide guidelines to the successful design and implementation of such codes, and contain examples of good practice, a selection of recommended readings for further study, and TI activities in this area.
