Coalition Macedonia Zero Corruption has been formed

“Coalition Macedonia Zero Corruption” including 18 NGOs formed upon initiative of "Transparency - Zero Corruption"

Skopje, Macedonia, 04 September 2008

A "Coalition Macedonia Zero Corruption", which includes 18 NGOs, has been formed upon initiative of "Transparency-Zero Corruption". The Coalition, which was formed yesterday, incorporate NGOs engaged in improvement on the democratic processes in Macedonia.

The goals of the Coalition is strengthening of the civic sector in the part of the fight and prevention against corruption, developing of good governance system on a local level, instigating economic development and foreign investments, boosting of capacities for anti-corruption action, cooperation with organization engaged in similar activities and improving the livelihood of the citizens.

A Charter and Action Plan on Coalition activities were adopted at the founding meeting. A seven-member Coordination Board will run the Coalition.
