Opening of Citizens Advocacy Office in Shkodra

The Citizens Advocacy Office (CAO) organized today an opening ceremony for their regional office in Shkodra. Hundreds of students, lawyers, university professors, representatives from the local government and judicial power, as well as representatives from the international community attended.

The Executive Director of CAO, Kreshnik Spahiu, encouraged Shkodra citizens and others in the northern region to turn to this office to denounce corruption and local government abuse. He promised that CAO in Shkodra will do its best to protect their legal and constitutional rights.

CAO’s office in Shkodra will provide free legal services to the victims of corruption and official abuse, and will support citizens’ groups, professionals and businesses in their fight against corruption. This office is supported by the United States Agency for International Development through its Rule of Law Project.
