Launch: Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index 2008

Berlin, 01 September 2008

On 23 September 2008, Transparency International will release its annual Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) which ranks 180 countries by their perceived levels of domestic corruption.

The index, released annually since 1995, looks at public sector corruption based on expert assessments and opinion surveys, helping to highlight the propensity of domestic corruption and its damaging influence.
