Transparency International is not investigating Kazakh ATF Bank deal

Berlin, 26 February 2008

Contrary to an announcement made in a press release on behalf of QVT Fund LP on 18 February 2008, Transparency International (TI), the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption, has not launched an investigation into the valuation of preferred shares of ATF Bank in Kazakhstan. As an organisation, TI does not undertake investigations, but pushes for systemic reforms and changes in practice - in both the public and private sector - to reduce the incidence of corruption.
