Public Private Partnership Series: Designing Legislative, Institutional and Regulatory Frameworks for Successful PPPs
National state/regional, and local governments worldwide continue to face shrinking budgets while having to maintain adequate levels of service for their citizens. This dilemma is forcing governments to think strategically about the ever increasing financial, technical, and social pressures. In many countries, governments are beginning to contract out government services to the private sector. IP3’s course has been designed to teach practitioners which policies and legislation are crucial for strategic PPP, as well as evaluating the pros and cons of the various forms of regulation of PPP agreements.
