Transparency International opens global call for anti-corruption awards

Filed under:

The global organisation against corruption Transparency International is accepting nominations for its 2012 Integrity Awards. Launched in 2000, the awards recognise the courage and determination of individuals and groups taking remarkable steps to combat corruption.

Past winners have sparked the arrest of corrupt leaders, exposed record-breaking tax scams and shown integrity in the most extreme circumstances.

This year’s winners will receive a trophy at a public award ceremony before an audience of more than 1000 supporters of the anti-corruption movement at the 15th International Anti-Corruption Conference in Brazil.

Nominations are open to the public and can be submitted until 15 July 2012 at http://www.transparency.org/getinvolved/integrityawards.
