Good governance in resource-rich countries helps people benefit from the wealth generated by oil and gas. Too often this is lost to corruption. Two-thirds of the world’s poor live in resource rich countries. Improving awareness of the importance of revenue transparency among governments and companies can help limit corruption.
Transparency International is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption.
