Media Advisory: The Millennium Development Goals and Anti-Corruption

Transparency International (TI), the anti-corruption organisation, is co-hosting a panel discussion: The Millennium Development Goals and Anti-Corruption with UN Development Programme and the UN Millennium Campaign on 21 September, as part of the United Nations MDG Summit in New York, 20-22 September.

The latest TI research data from more than 48 countries demonstrates the strong, positive correlation between better MDG outcomes and greater transparency, accountability and integrity. TI argues that the anti-corruption efforts must be made part of a common approach to achieve the MDGs.
