This year, the Group of Eight (G8) Summit was at Heiligendamm on Germany’s Baltic Coast. With climate change and Africa high on the agenda, the civil society presence was considerable. Transparency Watch caught up with Kumi Naidoo, Secretary-General of CIVICUS, the organisation taking the lead in the Global Call to Action against Poverty coalition, to talk about the Summit, its conclusion, and its legitimacy as an organ of global governance.

Shining the light on money in politics

Crinis is a new project by Transparency International to shine the light on campaign and party financing and is currently being piloted in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay and Peru.
