Annual Members Meeting of TI Latvia decides on the Statutes reform and elects a new chairperson

The Members Meeting on March 31, 2008 decided to reform management structure of Transparency International Latvia. From now strategic management will be carried out by the Council and Council Chairperson while executive function will be transferred to the Director.

The Members Meeting elected Ms.Lolita Čigāne as the new Chairperson of the Council. Ms.Čigāne is a long-time member of Transparency International Latvia and has extensive experience in good governance and anti-corruption projects in Latvia and abroad. The new TI Latvia Council members are Inese Voika, Pauls Raudseps, Mārcis Gobiņš, Rasma Kārkliņa un Jānis Ātrens.

The previous TI Latvia Executive Chairperson Roberts Putnis will continue his career in the private sector.

TI Latvia Council has commenced search for the Director of the organization.
