Corruption is not a magic trick: Break the spell on Anti-corruption Day

9 December is International Anti-corruption Day.
Worldwide, Transparency International chapters organise events to give visibility to the many people all over the world believing in and fighting for a world free of corruption.

This is just a snapshot of the activities taking place around Anti-corruption Day in countries in Asia and Pacific, Europe and Central Asia, Africa and the Middle East and in the Americas.

Maldives	Lecture on anti-corruption issues
Papua New Guinea	Launch of civic education workshop and youth democracy camp; public forum involving international and prominent local speakers to discuss corruption related issues under the theme of “Fighting corruption to alleviate poverty”; Awarding of the inaugural Siaguru Integrity Award.
Pakistan	Seminar on anti-corruption
Palestine	National integrity awards celebration
Solomon Islands	Hosting of an international anti-corruption day forum and drinks event on 10 December. The event will involve an address by the Solomon Islands Auditor-General on corruption within the government.
Sri Lanka	Children's programme "Learning from Children"; Sri Lanka annual report release; integrity awards ceremony and results
Taiwan	Anti-corruption poster competition; youth award ceremony for website design; university awards for anti-corruption speech contest; follow-up workshop on code of conduct for the health sector
