Chatham House: Corporate Responsibility 2007 - Sense and Sustainability: The Limits and Reach of Corporate Responsibility
Leaders from government, business and civil society around the world will be giving special attention in 2007 to the subject of sustainable development and the role of business. Not only does the year mark the 20th anniversary of the historic World Commission on Environment and Development report, but it also will be fifteen years since the first UN ‘Earth Summit’. Against this background and recent reports on the damage to climate and other natural systems, Chatham House and FTSE will be holding this special high-level event to review progress towards sustainable development, and explore scope for both scaling up, and speeding up action – by governments, business and civil society.Corporate Responsibility 2007 is the ninth in Chatham House’s highly successful CR series of major international conferences.
