How to better integrate the work of ALAC and mamdawrinch.com?

Hackathon problem statement

Joining Forces
While both ALAC and Mamdawrinch serve different purposes, both projects have databases that are used for data mining and analysis, moreover, there is a growing need of exchanging data between the two databases (cases of Mamdawrinch redirected to CAJAC, or showcases of CAJAC published in Mamdawrinch). Hence, having a simple connection between the two databases becomes useful.

ALAC and mamdawrinch.com work in a totally different way. ALAC, on one side, provides confidential legal assistance on a one-on-one basis, while mamdawrinch.com publishes anonymous corruption reports on the net. On the other side, ALAC and mamdawrinch.com have a lot in common:

  •     Both ALAC and mamdawrinch target the mass citizens. Both structures aim to reach out to every citizen in Morocco to either report cases anonymously through mamdawrinch, or request legal assistance on ALAC.
  •     Both ALAC and mamdawrinch require data analysis (and at a certain point data mining) to better understand citizens pain points and sentiments.
  •     ALAC does publish cases to mamdawrinch, and vice versa.
  •     So there is a need to provide a better mechanism to connect between the two platforms.

This work would:

  •     Improve the efficiency and the quality of the reports delivered by the two platforms.
  •     Provide a synergy to better respond and exchange information between the two platforms.
  •     Enable a foundation for continuous improvement and collaboration between the two platforms.

We can expect to split this problem statement into two sub problems:

  •     How to integrate the two databases?
  •     How to reassign mamdawrinch.com cases to ALAC?
