TI projects & activities

Throughout their work, Transparency International chapters have been engaged in promoting the right to access information held by public bodies in areas such as creating awareness, lobbying for legislation, training of media and public officials, as well as monitoring existing or newly enacted legislation.

Below you will find a searchable Excel database containing over 60 activities carried out by TI national chapters around the world (updated until September 2005). You can read a brief description of the activity, its objectives and results, as well as gain access to the TI chapter contact information.

Through the TI-Secretariat, TI has also been active in promoting greater access to information in matters of a regional or global nature, such as transparency in the area of public contracting or in the way in which politics are financed.

Transparency International promotes high standards of transparency in both these areas, outlining - among other things - what should be disclosed in order to avoid corruption risks.

To read more on political finance, please go to the corruption in politics section on the TI website.

To read the TI Minimum Standards on public contracting, see the public contracting section on the TI website.
